Powerful and High-quality Audio Output
Under JL Audio's mid-tier RD Series amplifier line, the RD400/4 is a 4-channel car amplifier capable of powering up your car speakers and subwoofers simultaneously with its full-range frequency reproduction capacity. Even with its small aluminum body, your car audio system can still be at its best because of its powerful and high-quality audio output.
Distortion Produced From Supply Voltage Fluctuation
The amplifier employs JL Audio's renowned NeXD Switching Technology, which uses a self-oscillating modulator that is designed to cancel out the distortion produced from supply voltage fluctuation. With its Class-D amplifier that enables it to produce a massive power output, the NexD Switching Technology is a big help in maintaining the amplifier's performance in delivering high-quality audio with minimal distortion.
Dedicated Bass Channel
It has variable low and high-pass filter controls for shaping the audio quality to what you want to hear. If you also want to use a pair of subwoofers, you can change the amplifier's settings from a four-channel mode into a two-channel mode to have a dedicated bass channel for your subs.
The JL Audio RD400/4 can handle a power output of 75 Watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms and 100 Watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms. When in bridge mode, the amplifier produces a power output of 200 Watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms. Its frequency response of 12 Hz up to 22 kHz gives the amplifier an extensive full-range production with excellent audio quality and minimal distortion.
Standard Equipment
Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is standard equipment, along with all-new input type switches for bridging of stereo output channels without needing to use Y-adaptors. Onboard LED-clipping indicators are also included with your RD400/4.
