Nex-D Switching Technology
The JL Audio JD500/1 amplifier is equipped with JL Audio's Nex-D Switching technology, which uses a self-oscillating modulator, allowing your amplifier to produce pure bass output and reducing the noise from supply voltage fluctuations. It also comes with Differential-Balanced inputs that were designed to cancel out induced cable noise that is pretty typical with car audio installations.

Class-D Amplifier
With its Class-D amplifier design, this compact mono-channel subwoofer amplifier can deliver a power output of 250 Watts RMS at 4 ohms and 500 Watts RMS at 2 ohms. The JL Audio JD500/1 has a frequency response of 7 up to 500 Hz, allowing it to produce an extensive low-frequency performance, while it also has a sensitivity rate of 80 dB, which means that it has the capacity to go loud with minimal distortion.

Power Handling
The JL Audio JD500/1 has a variable low-pass filter from 50 to 500 Hz, allowing you a much more defined bass production, while it also has a variable bass boost of up to 12 dB if you want to listen for more bass from your subwoofer.
