The Kicker 53PL7TDF10 is a compact powered subwoofer system designed for vehicle installations where space is limited. It combines a Solo-Baric L7 square 10" subwoofer, a built-in amplifier, and a factory-tuned enclosure in a single package.

Powered Subwoofer System

This enclosure includes an integrated amplifier rated at 500 watts RMS, matched to the subwoofer for consistent performance. The powered design allows the system to connect to both low-level (RCA) and high-level (speaker-level) inputs, making it compatible with many factory or aftermarket car audio systems.

Down-Firing Enclosure Design

The enclosure uses a down-firing subwoofer configuration, where the speaker faces downward toward the floor of the vehicle. This design helps protect the subwoofer from cargo impact while maintaining consistent bass output. The enclosure also features internal bracing to support additional weight when installed in trucks or SUVs.

Solo-Baric L7 Square Subwoofer

The system is built around Kicker’s Solo-Baric L7 square subwoofer design, which increases cone surface area compared with traditional round subwoofers of the same size. This design helps move more air within the enclosure to produce low-frequency output in a compact enclosure.

Adjustable Audio Controls

The amplifier includes adjustable settings for integration and tuning. A variable low-pass crossover (50–120Hz) allows the subwoofer to blend with existing speakers, while a phase switch (0–180°) helps optimize bass alignment with the rest of the system. A remote bass control is included for adjusting output from the driver’s seat.

Vehicle Compatibility

The enclosure is designed for compact installation in trucks and SUVs, and it is compatible with vehicles equipped with start/stop electrical systems. Its low-profile enclosure height allows placement in tighter cargo or under-seat areas depending on vehicle layout.
